Shut Down Christmas!!! I've Found The True Meaning!!!

Lady gets her Christmas lights stolen so she fires back with a sign full of Christmas spirit. (By the way, I had that exact same message on my Christmas cards last year. Huge crowd pleaser.)

But I'm kind of confused about the "stereotype" line.  I didn't see any mention of race or ethnicity in the story so I guess she means that it's true that thieves possesses the stereotype of a thief. Can't argue with that logic. I'm guessing she's an FBI profiler during the day.

Now if they'll own revise the Charlie Brown Christmas Special to have Linus read that sign at the end. There wouldn't be a dry eye in the country. Peace on Earth. Good will towards men.

I know there's one of them commandments about stealing, but I didn't think it was one that got you sent straight to hell. Must be a sub-paragraph B that deals with christmas lights as a special circumstance with enhanced punishment

Gold!

Christians calling for the wrath of God and eternal damnation for those that vanalized a Christmas display. If that doesn't give you a warm fuzzy and teach about the true meaning of Christmas, I don't know what does.

If anyone should be punished, I'm thinking perhaps it's the English/Spelling teacher(s) that promoted this woman past 4th grade.

Barry, come on. You know "those people" are the ones always stealing and vandalizing things. Its a statistical fact.

Why does everyone have a problem with christians getting mad, the ones I know are not perfect and do not act like they are? Are they supposed to let people steal from them and not care. You all appear to be as two faced as you say they are. I think there is a story in the bible where Jesus trashed a temple when they disrespected it by using it for something other than intended.

Why in the world do we as a people think we need to feel sympathy for somebody that steals something. How come we have to forgive them for doing something wrong. How come we have to read messages about how it is wrong to vent about getting ripped off? The freaking crooks should be caught and have their hands chopped off in the town square for everybody to see. Christmas time or not when folks decide to steal stuff from the front lawn they should be punished in such a way as to keep other folks from doing the same thing. I would be happy to the chopping, have ax will travel!

It's funny how we use one imaginary person to celebrate another imaginary person.

It's wrong to despise thieves?
The same people harping on the "Christian" are the same idiots harping on the jurors from the "my uncle touched my leg" trial.

Your like the Midnight Express guy when he said " we are all machines".
Your machine is broke, brother.

Seems like they might be making one jerk sort of ruin the season for them, doesn't it?

Like those people who have unsightly pictures of dogs relieving themselves on their lawns in order to prevent it form happening?

Cure is worse then the disease...

Having been robbed several times I (a follower of Christ) have made an oath that if I ever catch a thief in the act I will do the following. Execute them, write a note saying "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU STEAL", nail it to their forehead with a 16 penny spike and leave them in the middle of the street. Then alert the media. I have zero tolerance for thieves!

9:38 I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

10:10 They have places where that's the norm. Many of them are in the Middle East. Many of them are predominantly Islamic. Your course is clear.

12:46 Isn't that the text of one of the parables? Or maybe from Paul's letters? Your scenario that includes "execute them" means that under Texas law, you'd have committed murder. How "Christian" of you.

I have a neighbor across the street from me who puts up a 15 foot tall cross outlined in very bright bulbs in his yard every year. He also puts up a large "Happy Birthday Jesus" sign. Next year is the year I finally nut up and put up the big "Jesus Christ, is it your birthday again?" sign.

My my, Barry. Maybe once your home has been robbed, or vandalized and your precious belongings taken, you will understand that real low-life folks really do exist! I love the fact this person put that sign up. Oh, and yes, I am a Christian. Nothing wrong with putting up a sign that lets your neighbors know there is a low life lurking in the neighborhood and nothing wrong with using what Christians believe in: the wrath of God and Judgement Day! If we didn't believe in a Judgement Day, then why would we be concerned with living a civilized life with our neighbors? It is becoming quite evident that you Christian bashers are realizing that you are missing out on having Christ in your lives; otherwise, you would't squeal so loudly about Him and His followers. Not a problem, He's welcoming all who will just ask Him to come into their life and be their Savior! Merry Christmas all!

8:10...have you ever read the Bible? Try counting the number of men women and children GOd ordered put to death. God created and defined capital punishment right after Noah left the ark. As far as TX law goes if it's after dark it can be justified. And who says I'm stupid enough to get caught! Training and skill help lots. After your home and sanctaty have been violated 5 or 6 times let me know how you feel.

8:52 "If we didn't believe in Judgement(sic) Day, then why would we be concerned with living a civilized life with our neighbors?" Seriously? Your understanding of the Bible is the only thing keeping you from mowing the rest of us down with a machine gun; stealing from us; or sexually violating our children? It may be that sort of "understanding" that leads to having no respect for non-Christians or even those Christians with whom you disagree.

9:03 I draw a distinction between those that "God ordered put to death" and those that you decide to "execute". That is, unless you are telling us that you are God.

Perhaps we have a different definition of "execution". I don't see much self-defense involved in an execution. I have no problem protecting my family and acting in self-defense, but I would never, under any circumstances, personally execute another human being in response to theft.

Yikes. Lots of Old Testament Christians here, Barry.

I don't think it has to be dark in Texas to "execute" a scumbag thief anymore. I think that got changed because it was a stoopid law.

9:47, yes, you got my meaning precisely... Judgement Day is THE day of reckoning for all. As much as I do hate to say it, humans would become quite uncivilized if it were not for the understanding of consequences for our actions. You can laugh or disagree all you want, but to say "It may be that sort of "understanding" that leads to having no respect for non-Christians or even those Christians with whom you disagree" is completely your own opinion and not factual.
Stop and think about what it is that keeps you and others from a "survival of the fittest" type of life.... it is the fear of consequences for wrong-doing, or the reward you expect for living a Christ-like life. Period.
Again, Merry Christmas!

4:17 It's always a funny skit to watch a pot calling a kettle black. Been there done that.

"vanalized" WTH is that?

I think it was some thievery going on not vanalizing. LOL

This is more fun than watching granny get run over by a reindeer.

"No, Only Crackers would "so" stuff like this."

How does so-ing and thieving work together?

And, are those graham crackers or black crackers you're talking about?
