How can that be the Family Cat you demonize so often! Gotta love it!

I hope that Christmas brings the Runaway Bay City Council a heart, courage and a brain. Wait.....isn't that from Wizard of Oz? In that case we, the silent majority, would prefer to punt some of them back to Kansas! I think we'd fair better with empty chairs.

Don't 'lead' him any when he's sitting still.

The family cat looks so sweet there. I do know that Siamese cats can be a terror. They don't outgrow it either.

It's ridiculous for the City of Runaway Bay to have a police department. It costs the city more than it's worth to pay the salaries, taxes, vehicles, gas, and benefits. If they didn't have their own police department, the county would patrol the area. There are many times that there isn't even an officer on duty, so you still have to call the Sheriff's Department for assistance anyway. The city wouldn't be in such a financial struggle if they got rid of that particular drain on the economy.

Ahhhhh.....and the evil underbelly of the Bay years its ugly head! You are the 1 % of self loathing morons that don't realize the Bay is one step away from Lake Bridgrport or Wizard Wells. Rely on an already thin Sheriffs dept to patrol....they are call to call....they don't patrol! You should have attended the town hall meeting ....then u would have the facts about city revenue. How do you think the Bay got new blacktop! Based on the info at the meeting the police cover their own expense. Why would u want to so away w them? Oh yeah! Self loathing 1% er!

Evidently you've never had an emergency and needed to call the police at Runaway Bay. The last time I called, I got a message telling me that there was no officer on duty, and that if I needed assistance I would have to call the Sheriff's office. That was in the middle of the day. Even if they do answer or respond, they are so inept that they can't do their job with any efficiency to matter. The city could choose to utilize one of the county's programs that allows the city to pay a county officer an hourly rate to patrol each shift. The officers even use a county car and county fuel to patrol. They could cover every shift with that program, ensuring that there would be an officer on duty at all times. There's no need for more than one officer to be on duty at a time, and that program would save money on salaries and vehicle expenses. I understand you're probably over 70 and see no need to change, and you must live on the one road in Runaway Bay that got new blacktop, but you need to get a grip on reality. Perhaps there's only 1% in Runaway Bay with any sense.
