Awww, poor little deer. At least he is in no pain and he is out of this hell hole we call Texas. Dang grasshoppers and dead freaking grass. Lived here all my 60 somthing years and I about had enough of it. Wish I could afford to live somewhere else.
Yes it is Bow season and Cross Bows are now legal in Texas.
It is legal to hunt with cross bow, but if it came from any County around here then I don't think the deer is legal due to anler size.

I wonder what County he shot that deer in cuz in most counties the re is a antler restriction of minimum spread 13 inches or an unforked antler.To me that looks illegal...

Yup, Crossbows now legal during archery season. IMHO they should not be. Archery season should remain bow only, no blackpowder or crossbows allowed.
Broken tines all over those antlers. Thats a shame. And I too would question if that rack met the AR regs. Looks narrower than 13" but so hard to tell from the pics.
Not all counties have the 13-inch rule
