Letter to editor by Alvord school board member priceless! When you are voted in to the school board you should have a higher standard than the average person. If you or the board are not guilty of anything then you should not feel the need to defend. People already assume the worst about Alvord due to actions taken by current board so commenting about an article or other letters only validates what people are thinking. Alvord ISd board and super need to be replaced.
People already assume the worst about Alvord because they have haven't defended themselves against people who like to spread rumors and tell lies. I agree with the letter, and commend the Alvord board for protecting the privacy of their employees. There is finally someone bold enough to stand up against the Alvord mafia! Good for them!
Alvord school board has more "called" meetings than anyone in the county. The only reason they do this is because they don't want the public to have the opportunity to speak. Wise up citizens of Alvord. I got out of their as soon as I could. That city is crazy and the people are back stabbers.
Alvord School Board is a joke!!! And one person is making them ALL look bad!!!!! If the Board was smart, and if the Board cared how they looked to the public, they would kick her off asap!

It would be hard to argue that we don't need someone else serving as board president, but our board has made significant steps to righting previous wrongs, advancing education.

The Messenger does too, but it sells papers. This small group simply projects on the current board the way they operated when they were in control.

Repeating misguided hearsay as truth with no way of proving what was said is slander. It's also called gossiping. Fact - you cannot back up all of your claims. All the documents you claim you have, don't prove what you say "you heard." The burden of proof lies with you. By posting your "truth" as you see it and signing your name to it,you have set yourself up for an easy lawsuit. They, whoever they are, don't have to prove what you said.......it's all on record. I'm sure they appreciate that.
