I'm glad we didn't make it though. "Ugh! It's 1980 hot!" rolls off the tongue much easier than saying "It's 2011 hot." Plus, when the next heat wave blisters us, we (and by that I mean me) can go all codgery on the youngsters: "Oh, this is nuthin'.
