Stupid, stupid, stupid. Maximum speed of collision with padded wall is 15-20 mph. Maximum speed of collisions between converging football players in the open field is 30-40 mph, and less padding too. If they want to protect football players that bad, they should cancel hitting and tackling, not a close end zone. In a typical big game, there would be cameras, bands, tubas, etc. at that same distance from the back of the end zone.
