Sixteen years ago, America went nuts when Singapore leveled cane strikes on the back of U.S. teenager Michael Fay for the crime of vandalism.
Well, we've got a new one. And the offense? Staying in the country more than 90 days on just a passport.

I say cane his butt, he is responsible for knowing the local laws as well as the consequences. Do the crime wear it on your behind! We need to take immigration this serious in America!
Been there. When the flight attendants hand you papers to prepare for customs entry, it begins to be very clear that they don't fool around there. Basically, the papers say that if you get caught doing drugs you will be killed. And so forth. And yet, hookers by the thousands roam the streets and there is even a shopping center where one can go and buy people. It's legal there. Yet chewing gum gets you a beating. Can't even buy gum anywhere in the whole country. But, it's their city state, and one of the most prosperous, modern and safest places I have even been.
