Everyone had a blast! The turn out was much better than was originally thought. There were 800+ adventurers who ran the 5K obstacle course last Saturday! As part of the Cortez family, I voluteering & was stationed at one of the obstacles. It was very exciting to cheer on the runners as they passed by! Can't wait for the next Caveman Crawl!!!
I've lived in Wise county for 20 years and have never heard of the "Caveman Crawl". This post did nothing to further my investigation either. Apparently it's a bunch of guys wading through a low water crossing.
It was very cool. There were 22 obstacles for the 5k race which included water, cargo nets, climbing up steep hills, and many others. Plenty for the entire family to do. This was the first here in Bridgeport but looking forward to many more. By the way all the hotels were full, restaraunts packed, and people calling from all over trying to fly in to participate. It will only get bigger.
Ummm....no don't think so (re: Simpson incident). That was the gym that closed years ago, across from Duckwalls. Edge Fitness is Bridgeports best & most up to date gym! U can also check out more on Caveman Crawls fb page!
I was there! In the roll of a volunteer! Caveman Crawl is/was designed for runners who desire the extreme!!! The feedback that I heard from participants was "when is the next one" and that the track was much better than its predecessor!
It was a great time!! This will be a yearly event with fun for the whole family! There were over 1000 participants and spectators! Edge Fitness (not the Simpson gym) sponsored the event. Great way to be active with your family!

It was a mass baptismal in cleansing waters.

After I did a little research I saw where Edge Fitness' name popped up.
Isn't that where the famous Simpson incident happened?
