12:46, Ur a dumbass, it says Oak Hill, which is between Decatur and Alvord, behind the Dub Johnson Arena. I believe its a Finals race, its like another town out there, so many people.
It's a lot like Eagles Canyon Raceway north toward Slidell. A gem in your county that you neither promote nor appreciate because of some irrational prejudice concerning motorcycles.
Get out of the 20th century folks. We are not your father's Hell's Angels.
We are mostly from out of town and come to spend time and money in your county. Wise people would work harder to cash in on us
There aren't a lot of people here in WiseCo that know or care about the track here in Alvord. Mostly because the Messenger,Gazette or any of the other local media doesn't promote it the way it should be.
It's only had ESPN here a few times for coverage, but, obviously that's not enough to get anyone interested.
There are some VERY serious racers that run there. If anyone doesn't believe it, watch the WallyMundo parking lot on race weekend and see about 30-40 $200K-$500K motor homes pulling racing vans spending money there or watch the motor homes and large rigs pulling racing trailers up 287.
And WiseCo wonders why no one is interested in bringing business here.
oak hill is in need of new ownership. this track is the same one that on big races blocks the road on a hill and puts up no traffic control to keep the those who live on cr 1270 safe. on a side note is this the same track that had a kid killed at it and did not notify local law enforcement?
anon 8:08 as far as your comment about not being hells angels i have found that most of these kids are rude and disrespectful just drive around the roads out there and look at the traffic control devices with all the stickers covering the stop signs etc these kids are out of control and the parents dont dare tell them what to do or control them as the kids are there money train.
11:41 Just FYI - the Gazette has been MIA for a year or more. And the locals don't much care for the racers taking over the road for the weekend. They race down the back roads like the are part of the track - and expect the locals to hit the ditch when they haul their rigs up and down Hubbard. The only Alvord businesses that benefit is the convenient stores and the 2 cafes. A weekend of hitting the ditch and watching people tear up the roads verses a small increase in tax revenue. NAAAA - not worth the dust it stirs up.

60 dollars to watch people jump around and go in circles in Wise motherfreakin' County, you couldn't pay me $60 for that torture!
60.00 to look at all the GIRLS walking around and it is worth it.
Needs new ownership. Could really help the place a ton.
