Teeth Are Important

The very busy Messenger Update reported that this guy went back into a trailer fire in Crafton this morning to retrieve his teeth. About three weeks ago, Channel 8 had a video of a victim of the Runaway Bay condo fire who lamented that he wasn't able to retrieve his teeth.

Teeth are very expensive. Let that be a lesson to you kiddies!

Well, I'd hate to lose MY teeth (but they are all still attached to me)! However, it's dangerous to go back in. I heard from a speech made by a firefighter that the statistics are not good for people that do that. I seem to remember that over half of the people that go back into a structure fire to get something don't return!! If that's correct, that's a SCARY statistic.

my heart goes out to this couple, the loss of one's home is horrible but for one to loose his teeth too , way too much to bare. I would have done the same thing!! GOD BLESS~

How boring does the news day have to be to even report, much less care, about whether someone got his teeth or not? Prefer more earthshattering and sensational crises to this snoozer. I bet real reporters laugh at the stupid just considered newsworth in the mess.

Glad he got em, they are expensive

Now that is a story you can really sink your teeth into. LOL

How sad your little life must be. Sitting around in a small town waiting for something big to happen.
The trailer fire story is considered news in these parts; the side story about the teeth is human interest, and in these parts those types of stories are also considered news
Real readers of this blog are laughing at your last sentence: "I bet real reporters laugh at the stupid just considered newsworth in the mess." ???
So, what is your take on the events in Haiti? Earthshattering enough for ya? Or too far away to care?

Why wasn't there anything in the Mess about the new Chico AD? He's got teeth.......just saying.

Seeing the words...trailer, Crafton and teeth in the same sentence just don't seem right.

What's the matter with Crafton? The travel trailer wasn't even in Crafton, but Red Willow RV Park, which is probably at least 5 or 6 miles from Crafton.

LOL

I grew up in Crafton. Please allow me to make fun of it if I want to. ;)

11:51...too far away to care...you hit the nail on the head. Still don't give a damn about a trailer fire or a man's teeth either. Give me a local scandal or I find it totally boring.

11:51...I AM a read reader of this blog...not sure what that stupid statement meant. I admit my typing got ahead of my mind on the comment about the news. What I meant to say was "I bet real reporters laugh at the stupid crap that's considered newsworthy in the mess." And I stand by that. The "human interest" stories are stuff I don't give a damn about and the news is trailer trash red-neck idiocy. And no, I don't give a damn about Haiti...way too far away to make a difference in my life.

When you don't have your teeth, you'll realize how important they are. If someone went in after their artificial hand or leg, we wouldn't think twice. Of course, burning to death for any of those things is not the right move.

I have lived in Crafton for 59 years. I don't make fun of my stomping grounds.

As a Firefighter from Alvord who assisted in this fire, let me assure you he did NOT go into the fire to retreive his teeth. The S.O. deputy on scene allowed him to go in after the fire was extinguished. This photo was shot approximately 20 minutes after the fire was out. Another photo that WCMessenger had on there site was of a Crafton Volunteer and I, which was taken shortly before this photo, approximately 20 minutes after the fire was out.
