Odd Comment From District Court In Decatur This Morning
In a hearing before the judge:
Attorney: Ma'am, are you the mother of [baby's name]?
Lady: (In all seriousness) Yep. No epidural or no nothing.

That's a triple negative. Is that acceptable grammar? Or does the "yep" offset on of the negatives?

The lady said that to add emphasis to the fact that indeed she is the mother. In other words, unless that pain she went through was for someone else, that's hre kid alright.
