I Owe 2012 Guy An Apology

Long time blog readers will undoubtedly recognize a commenter who, regardless of the topic, will make reference to 12/21/2012 when we will no longer need to be concerned with anything after that date because the world will end. Makes sense. Anyway, last week I noticed that a billboard went up outside of Decatur promoting the new 2012 movie and today I discovered the above footage of said movie. I mean, sheesh, if I had known that was going to happen, I wouldn't have ridiculed the guy so much. But in all honesty, this clip is everything I hate about movies today.

This has to be the silliest clip I've ever experienced. How do actors even agree to take part in this crap? Oh well, after 2012 we won't have to worry about it, right?

Dude!
By 2012 Rick Perry will be President.
The end is near!

On December 21 2012 Hussein Obama will be on his way out...much like the rest of us.

I think "2012" is like "Transformers" in that the flick is suppose to be more about the graphics than the story. Craziest scene in "2012" is when the USS John F. Kennedy is tossed ashore at the 2:17 point by a tsunami and crushes the White House and all the lights stay on in the White House. Incidentally, the USS John F. Kennedy was decommissioned in 2007. No doubt, "2012" is about the graphics.

So why did we think the 2016 Olympics were so important if the world is just gonna end 4 years before that anyway? Oh yeah, it was all about watching Barak the Magic Negro publically stroke his ego. Nothing substantial, after all

I like Jon Cuszak, but that sister of his gives me the creeper jeepers! Ever noticed she's in nearly all his movies? I think there must be a little family LOVING going on with those two.

and I thought Dr. Seuss was way out there. Just remember what Hank Jr. says "country boy can survive".....

I'd better start hunting

We watched 2 John Cusack movies at my house this weekend: The Jack Bull, a Wyoming western, and Grace is Gone, about a single father who loses his soldier wife in Afghanistan. Both pretty good, though not excellent.
The former was written by Dick Cusack, John's father. No sign of Joan in either movie.

But, for my money, it's hard to beat The Sure Thing or Say Anything.

Also watched Will Smith's I-Robot - not so much dazzled by the CGI and FX as the some of the ethical conundra posed.

I miss the 2012 guy- he doesn't post like he used to post.

I refuse to watch another John Cusack movie until he and Joan Cusack have a make out seen- they need to prove their art.

I don't get the 2012 part. Who thought up this date? Doesn't it make better sense to choose the date of 12-21-21-12? I think that has a bunch better rhythmn and ominous sound.

This is the 2012 guy and I'm sorry I haven't posted much but Barts agonizing on-going drivel about sports really drains me of all creative juices to the point that I wish December 21 2012 was tomorrow.

I'll try to lighten up the party in the future or December 21 2012 which ever comes first.

It is rather curious that 12-21-12 looks the same coming as it does going. The date wasn't "chosen" Several ancient calendars that extended to the end of our time stop measuring time on December 21, 2012. Something is going to happen and events could start taking place before 12-21-12 ever gets here. The movie is not a learning tool.
