Evidence at the scene are leading investigators to work this case at this time as a murder- suicide. Names of the victims are being withheld, pending family notification. Justice of the Peace Terri Johnson has been called to the scene and will be requesting autopsy.

We've Got A Developing Situation
Late last night at approximately 11:45pm the Wise County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare concern in the 3800 block of US HWY 287 North (5 miles north of Decatur). While checking the residence Deputy Travis Waddell observed what appeared to be blood on the front porch of the residence. Upon further inspection of the residence, two male bodies were located. WCSO Investigators, as well as the Texas Ranger are still on scene at this time. It appears that there was some sort of struggle between the two men which resulted in their deaths.

Barry, of course this is horrific, but there are a lot of folks who are involved in problematic family situations.
Couldn't you have waited until those names were released.
Personally, I think this is insensitive on your part.

The Medical Examiners Office, newspapers and local Police that have Blogs WILL report it..we live in a society where public knowledge will get out..in the old days it would happen just at a slower pace...I totally agree to show respect for those involved and to control the comments..but just simply to report it..any one w/ a scanner could get the same information...
uh, 7:20, most of the incident was not put out over the radio, especially after making the discovery....

it's the red metal building called the Texas Trading Post on the south side of 287 bout 1/2 way between decatur and alvortt.

287 has east and west on its sides. Is that the knife place on the west side? (where there used to be a Monroe's fruit stand/store?)

No, the fruitstand is not in the right place. Its about 9 miles or so North of Decatur. And it is spelled Alvord. I dont know what yalls deal is.
