6:02pm... Sorry to disappoint, friend... spent my night watching an awesome HS football game in Bridgeport.
In the end, the Bulls were victorious but what a game. Bulls won on a touchdown pass with 6 seconds left in ballgame... breaking a 24-24 tie that Argyle made with 1:15 in the 4th. Awesome...
Now, in regards to the debate. I really could give a rip about it. As a matter of fact, I am pretty much tuning out all election talk, coverage, etc. I did the same thing for the last election. If I never hear of Swift Boats, Lipstick on Pigs, or Muslim Senators it will be too soon.
Barry, I grew up in Ada and went to college there. I unknowingly rented the apartment where Debbie Sue Carter was killed. After the book came out I was scanning the pics in the middle of the book. There was the apartment, my jaw dropped and I about hit the floor. As the book desribed what happened, I knew exactly where each step had been taken into each room. Chillbumps crawled over my body. I had walked up the stairs to the front door hundreds of times and never knew the history.....and the elderly dentist who owned/owns it never told me.. I thought you might find that interesting. Your next read needs to be Dreams of Ada if you haven't read it yet.
FLASHBACK! Barry, do you realize that you stood in the footsteps of the great Doctor Valcik when you took those pics in that spot? Each parade, back in the day, he'd step out of is office with his camera, stand in just that area (can tell from the same backdrop in the pictures he gave me) and shoot pics of all his clients/patients. I just thought you should know you are continuing a tradition began long ago...and I'll bet you might have even smelled the ol' Doc's cigar smoke around you while you snapped those pics! I'm sure he was there with you. :-)

Saw a parade "participant" come in to the Whistle Stop at lunch today. She looked like a streetwalker.
