Traffic

- Some new traffic study report is here (one page pdf file.)
- Not sure why that red color is in Decatur. I've never seen traffic slow to a crawl on 287 like in the other "red areas"
- Loop 820 from I-35 to North East Mall has been confirmed by the study to be "a beating."

There's that huge state size male appendage that some pedophile engineer designed as a joke that will last forever.

I'm surprised he didn't build a huge tunnel just west of 820.

It's called "Mass Transit" and found in larger cities in the Northeast and Northwest. One can take a train, bus or subway anywhere. Another reason people up north are less concerned about gas prices than we are. If I could take a train from Decatur to Fort Worth or Dallas I would do it, it's not a bad means of travel at all. Hopefully, the powers that be here in Texas can get a hint. The 820/I35 has been a pain in the butt for the last 20 years and I have heard for the last 20 years it was going to get better. Put King Phil on it and let's see if he can get something done. The way he's getting on to these Utility Companies for all those high rates gives me the warm fuzzies and he's the man that can do it. On second thought, nah, probably not.

That red dot in capital city is probably for the 51 corridor from 287 to the hospital... Wise counties worst bottleneck.

no, the decatur dot is the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Hey 1:11, I noticed that years ago but did you ever notice how I35 splits off then reconnects? Look again!;)

It is the underpass traffic at the light on 51 that is the bottleneck problem. There is always some idiot talking on a cell phone who waits too long to move, gets through the light just as it changes, and everyone behind is stuck waiting for the next cycle. HANG UP THE PHONE!

hey 2:45 that idiot happens to be my wife!

3:25 That was your wife and she's coming over to my place later.

I agreed one of the red spots is the FM51 corridor. The other has to be the 287/380/1810 cluster***k.
Do they drug test TXDOT engineers? Somebody had to be on crack when that was approved.

I make that drive 5 days a week from Decatur to Hurst. Going in in the a.m. is a 55 minute drive. Coming home, it takes 35 minutes from Hwy 10 and 820 to get to 35 and the 287 split( 9 miles). From there, it takes 35 minutes to get north of Decatur(42 miles).
