Something that happened on Wednesday can be breaking news on Friday. Example, a man on a week long hunting trip deep in the forest kills a real Bigfoot on Wednesday...but it takes him two days to drag the thing out of the woods and call someone, so it's not reported until Friday. And on Friday, it's breaking news. But it happened on Wednesday.
You commit a crime, live a free life for years because they can't prove it, then one day they find that clue they need (I'm guessing DNA) and they got you. You confess and they spare your life because that's the humane thing to do. That is how things work in a liberal world.
My thought is that if you confess we will kill you quickly other wise you can die a slow and torturous death. But that’s me.
My dad must be republican because that is not how it was for me growing up and I have no complaints about the way I was raised.
This guy will just join countless others in swapping stories of their horrific deeds in a cushy prison, then write a book, then get on television, etc.
And 8:23, don't just blame the liberals. Look what party is in control of our government now - let them start working on tougher laws to put these inhumane people on death row for a SHORT time.....then
Plea bargaining has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative. It has to do with saving tax payers money. A prosecutor will gladly offer a lesser sentence if it means saving 10 thousand dollars on court cost. If it weren't for plea bargaining the justice system would just collapse.
An average DA is able to get 95% of defendants to take a plea. This saves the county an ENORMOUS amount of resources.
The system does have serious flaws. Some prosecutors have been known to offer lenient sentences (like probation) to dangerous violent offenders. Other times innocent people are forced to take a plea due to lack of funds needed to take the case to trial, or fear of facing the maximum sentence if convicted. No system is perfect.

After reading the article on this sicko, why in the world didn't he get a death sentence?
What good will come from a life sentence?
It's called a plea bargain.
