Frustration

Maybe a little quiet around here since our office Internet went down. A call to Communicomm simply led to a "call this other number for customer assistance before we send someone out." Throw in the fact that the Internet connection has been spotty at best over the last three months, and I'm thinking about using a different ISP (if there are choices.)

The real question is........Where's Greggo????

I have DSL through Embarq...your land line phone at your office is probably Embarq...why not call them? I have had them for 3 years, and have never had to call them. The internet has gone down only a couple of times, but it never lasts long...

Hey Bare, got you a new client.

Tellervison and movin picture star Gary Collins got arrested in LA for DWI.

Get on it.

Your choices are Wireless, Satellite and DSL.
We have DSL through Embarq for 2 1/2 years and it was down once for about six hours. Had some problems with email when they dropped EarthLink as their email provider and went in house but that has been resolved.

Tried Wireless and Satellite and they OK if that is your only choice but not fast (satellite) or reliable (both).

Never had cable because of where we live, but I hear it is the fastest.

Tell me about it, I called 2 days ago because we have problems with the internet and cable service with them. They won't show up. Last time I had them out the guy came in and then said I am running up the street and will be back. I am still waiting for him to come back, over 3 months ago. Problem still was not fixed.
I called the sallelite people but because of our large pecan and oak trees, they said we would have to cut them down to get any kind of reception so I am stuck with cable. bummer big time. I refuse to cut down our trees.

I use communicom at home/work and would agree about the spotty service.

We don't have to worry about what our US Senators are for and against any more. They now have a whole new way of passing a bill...check this out!!!

Greggo's been gone?

"Do you like this gig?"

For a business you can get the T-1 internet lines similar to DSL only faster.

To Denney Cranes news tidbit--THAT is scary!

I think you are S.O.L, Barry, based upon my research of your available ISPs. I'm guessing CommunistComm did something similar to Cox/Suddenlink/ Broadband.net or whatever the heck they call themselves these days - they got too big a user base that they and their paltry equipment/service people could not support, so it just went to hell in a hand basket. It does sound like you are worse off than those poor C/S/B users.

I think you should ditch Wise County and move to Muenster, Texas - word has it Nortex is gonna be giving those town folks FIBER soon. Whooopeeeeee!

Me? I only get their highly-reliable DSL, but I'm not complaining, because I get to live in Gawd's Country!

And imho, anything, (except dial up or ISDN), that is buried in the ground is always better/more reliable than satellite or wireless.

We have Embarq and it has its problems too but not often and never for too long.

I wish AssWhip/r&r's internet would go down indefinately.

Speaking of going down indefinately...
