Top 10 High School Athletic Programs In The Nation . . .

. . . as ranked by Sports Illustrated. Only one Texas school makes the list with Southlake coming in at #8.

Decatur fans are shocked to see the name of Abilene Wylie omitted.

Abilene will be in the top ten "climb the wall syndrome" lists in July for Dave Campbell Football Magazine. He might he have some input..

I'm a Bull fan and with Decatur's recent years of choke a lot and revolving door of coaching changes and scandals, I am not shocked at all.

I have found that most Decatur fans have a gorilla-sized, over-inflated opinion of themselves and their sports teams.

Abilene Wylie is truly the Southlake of Texas 3A sports anyway.

3:44 Everyone I know from Bridgeport thinks that everyone thinks that ya'll are the best, and they think everyone likes them and wants to be like them. I used to think the same when I lived there, but in all reality everyones looks down on ya'll

4:12 you may be thinking too much!

Pretty impressive to be a public school on that list. Seems like a lot of the schools listed there are smallish private schools that operate a lot like a college athletic department--recruiting athletes and offering scholarships.

Southlake has to work with the kids in the district.

Big difference.

decatur owns bridgeport - i dont see any arguement there regardless of coaching changes or scandals, the one thing that never changes are the butt kickings.

11:03 Never say never. The football Bulls will completely dominate the eagles for at least the next four years. Just sit back and watch.

Bridgeport and A&M have something in common, other than their school colors....

Bridgeport worries about Decatur all the time, while Decatur worries about Bridgeport the week they play them. Other than that week, Bridgeport isn't even on Decatur's radar because Decatur is busy worrying about the team they play the next week. And yes, Abilene Wylie is on Decatur's radar more than they would like, but they still don't worry about them all the time the way Bridgeport worries about Decatur.

A&M worries about UT all the time, while UT worries about A&M the week they play them. Other than that week, A&M isn't even on UT's radar because UT is worrying about the team they play the next week. And yes, OU is on UT's radar more than they would like, but they still don't worry about them all the time the A&M worries about UT.

And yes, I am aware I have just offended probably 3/4 of the people who post here...... But you know what I said is true. C'mon, if you're honest with yourself, & if you are a B'port or A&M fan, you know it's true.

I can hardly wait until football season begins...
Go Eagles; Hook 'em Horns.
SMILE!

If this is what is important to you bunch of rednecks I guess we can quit wondering why the country is going down the toilet. Talk about deep thinking.

10:21 - Lighten up! It's entertainment - We're allowed a bit of that - It doesn't mean we don't put in time with other more serious, worthwhile activities. Take a deep breath & tell yourself - "it's OK to have fun; it's OK for other people to have fun doing something I don't like;" Keep breathing deeply, 10:21, & Repeat that 15 times. "It's OK to have fun......"

PS - You don't have to click on this post if it upsets you.

You are of course right and I apologize. However it still seems the money spent on sports would be more wisely invested in education. We are still losing ground worldwide and these superfluous expenditures are one reason.
