Looks like Seattle got some pretty good value for their $$. Rangers and Yankees paid dearly but got less. What's the moral here? Get 'em early, pay low then dump 'em when the pay gets obscene.
It appears A Rod got about $150,000 per hit with the Rangers and Yankees. Or about $62,000 for each failure to get a hit. Or about $625,000 for a home run.

Wow, He didn't get any raise in 95 and only a thousand dollar raise in 96? That ain't right.
My bad. Only a dollar raise in 96. I don't see why he didn't call his union steward and file a grievance.
