Any of you spineless libs still think a border fence is a bad idea?
Barry, when they catch him are you going to be his legal representation?
How do you know he is an illegal?
Limon is not a "border fence" surname. So 4:44's uneducated advice is pretty worthless in this instance, unless he or she is suggesting a border fence around the continent of South America. They might like that idea down there...keeps out the Americans?
Kind of looks like what Barron Green will look like in about ten years.
"spineless libs" - are you kidding? I don't think you have any idea at all what the word "liberal" stands for.
So how many years probation is Jana Jones gonna give him? lol
How many of you think he's gonna take the cowards way out and off himself too?
That's one scary looking dude!
Mary Mack I know i would! But i would kill myself with some class. Roman style! (falling down on a sharp knife) Hmm although the potassium cyanide is painless but he may not have access to that.
TxSharron actually he look about normal for wise county hicks. lol
Why is it that Mexico controls its southern border but doesn't want us to?
Spineless libs= weak on national defense, socialized medicine, bigger government, abortion on demand, even for underage girls without parental consent, gay marriage, raising the minimum wage etc. etc. I think I do know what it means.
8:39, I see the man already has a "Mug shot" here..... More than likely, the murderer was already ON probation... and probably by Jana Jones. I don't know WHEN Wise County will wake up to our non prosecurial DA and vote her out of office. This is a very sad happening. I really would like to know if he was on a probated sentence for whatever this mug shot was taken for. Anyone know?
Hey 6:40 this is 8:39. I think I heard on the news that he was just in jail for family violence. Which is a misdemeanor however(Jana handles felonies). Chances are he got time served.
Family violence charges are not always misdemeanors. Once a person is convicted of family violence if it happens again it is a felony offense.
Domestic violence was also the likely basis for the divorce. Most of us know that the marriage probably did not end as a result of a single attack on his spouse. These things often escalate to the most serious, repeated injuries and ultimately murder.
A single event of abuse is a misdemeanor and repeated attacks result in felony charges. It is my bet that he was charged with felony abuse on more than one occasion and that Jana Jones had the charges reduced to misdemeanors to avoid prosecuting him. That would keep Greg Lowery's platter full and allow our DA to avoid doing her job. That is the way Jana Jones has always operated...the is a DISGRACE TO OUR COUNTY!
Jones uses plea bargains and probated sentence recommendations for our most dangerous felons --- repeat child sex offenders, domestic abusers and drunk drivers. Her record is full of such pathetic, unwarranted lenient treatment of criminals. Where is the public outrage?
Defining "LIBERAL".
Folks, I am 69 years old and retired on Social Security that I worked to earn since age 14. From that modest monthly check, I have had to contribute to Medicare and Plan D drug coverage.
Now, I stand in line at WalMart to get prescriptions filled in a line with people of Hispanic descent who do not speak English and are obviously not here legally. They get their medicines paid by welfare or other forms of assistance while I try to figure out what food or gasoline I can do without in order to pay for my prescriptions. I wait at the clinic behind bunches of them when they go for free medical treatment and i sit wondering what I have worked all my life for that they get for nothing. Who is really paying for their benefits.
My idea is that their rewards were not granted by conservative, patriotic Americans. My guess is that the whole mess was generated by several generations of former flower children who think we should give away everything we have and allow our country to be invaded by the forlorn citizens of any other place. That is my definition of LIBERAL and it goes along with the definition of TRAITOR!
I guess in a way I understand what shes doing. She wants to rehabilitate them. Which I support in SOME cases. If the crime is non-violence, first offense, ect. If the crime is violence and she has a bad case (such as a case based upon accusations but no FACT) I support letting them go. I have studied alot of cases and I have lost all faith in a human beings word of honor. People lie all the damn time, the make crap up, stretch the truth, ect.
But when the case is solid beyond a reasonable doubt make them spend some time in prison and when they get out on parole watch them. Make them attend rehab while in prison and encourage them to stay out of trouble! Alot of people can be helped. But not all of them... Sad but true.
8:27 with all due respect sir you're wrong. I understand your outrage and I would probably feel the same.
I'm a liberal but I do understand why you would feel this way.
Let me tell you why I'm a liberal. I watch on TV all the time of peoples civil right being taken away and I am sick of it! We do this in the name of "fighting terror". I don't ever want to see another 9/11 happen again. But why should the people of this county pay for what they did? We make laws to take away peoples rights and freedoms in the name of security. Ben Franklin said it best when he said, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security."
Thats why I'm a liberal. To defend what many a good man has died for in the last 200 years! The constitution. I guess somebody has to defend it. Our leaders sure as heck don't...
Dear 8:44 - And just exactly what is one of your Constitutional rights that was taken away as a result of the strident measures we were FORCED to take as a result of 9/11? You and I have lost NONE!
I think he is innocent, doesn't have the eyes of a killer.
8:44 I amazed that you have decided upon a specific political ideology based solely on what you see on TV. That is sad, really, really sad.
Not to sound like I am defending Janna Jones, but the guy was last arrested in Montague County for family violence. His wife, the victim, is the one that got the judge up there to lower his bond so he could get out of jail.
10:03 - Thanks for the update on the fugitive. So she convinced the judge to let him out? Sounds like a suicide to me and no way a murder.
As for Jones...everything said about her is true, regardless of the incident.
8:54, 9:13 watch the news sometime, you will see what I am saying. This nation is under attack not by Islam but by our own leaders. It's horrible.. Bush and his buddies have already almost taken away our 4th amendment rights plus our first amendment rights.
Anyway back to the murder. Any word on the guy yet?
So how long has he been out of jail since his Montague County arrest?
And didn't the reports say ex-husband?
I hope and pray that anyone who lives in the area of the incident has been contacted or is aware of this guy being on the loose so that no one else will get hurt.
Since he hasn't been apprehended, I wonder if he is headed for Mexico or if he has shot himself.
10:26 - As expected, you are big on theory but completely lacking in facts.
We have had no law or regulation passed as a result of 9/11 that limits our freedom of speech, assembly or petitioning of our government as provided in the FIRST AMENDMENT.
There is NO NEW LEGISLATION passed that allows authorities to search or seize your property without a warrant issued on by a magistrate, as guaranteed by the FOURTH AMENDMENT.
In addition to wiretapping without a warrant, Bu$h has added a signing statement to H.R. 6407, the "Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act" which gives the government the right to open our mail without a warrant.
By James Gordon Meek
New York Daily News
Washington - President Bush has quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open Americans' mail without a judge's warrant, the New York Daily News has learned.
The president asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a "signing statement" that declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions.
That claim is contrary to existing law and contradicted the bill he had just signed, say experts who have reviewed it.
10:26 This is 9:13, and I did not comment about the loss of civil rights in my post just simply stated that anyone who would base political opinions simply on what they see on tv should not be given the civil right to have on opinion.
My reason for stating that is simply some news media outlets are obviously conservative and some are liberal and each are going to put a spin on the actual truth.
i feel for all the unborn children who have died in womb so you could protect your precious liberty.
txsharon - Lower federal courts have already ruled that wiretaps without a warrant are unconstitutional and therefore nullified. The final comment on warrantless opening of private mail is also true.."contrary to existing law"...and unconstitutional. But warrantless searches are lawful in emergency situations, such as plain view evidence or the detection of a deadly substance on an envelope. Remember the Anthrax killings?
That has been the law for decades and remains unchanged today. You rightfully have an anti-Bush bias but are using worn out scare/conspiracy threats to justify invasion of your rights when it is not happening.
Barry, I was going to suggest on your "poll post" to please not post anything about politics or religion. As I can see that wouldn't have done any good anyway. We have a murderer on the loose and somehow it has turned into political garbage.
Hey Barry,
Just an idea! I understand the Anonymous "leave a comment" idea.
But how about something new for 2007! When someone post a blaten LIE and the facts are there to prove otherwise.... maybe their name should appear in Red letters next to their post. Flashing Red Letters!
Oh calm down.....you liars, he's not gonna do it! Or is he?
See for yourself:
W pushes envelope on U.S. spying
New postal law lets Bush peek through your mail
Special Delivery to Greta:
A couple suggestions ---
1. If there is a post on here you don't like, DON'T READ IT!
2. If there is a post on here you don't like, DON'T READ IT!
txsharon - The key word in your reference is "emergency" circumstances. How about getting the full text? We don't need a liberal journalist interpreting the news on that item for us...at least not all of us.
Sheehan, Aren't liberals all for big government intruding into you pathetic life?
12:17 In this post 9/11 world where facts mean nothing, everything is an emergency to Bu$h. This is probably a CYA emergency meaning that he has already done it and is trying to cover his ass.
This guy didn't much like getting his mail opened.
So, let's review: our phone calls are monitored, our bank records are available, our mail is to be opened, our library preferences are the FBI's business. What's left?
Maybe Jonathan Turley, Constitutional Scholar, will have a comment on this soon,
txsharon - Your reference to the "facts" betrays your fear of Bush the "bogeyman" ... "the need to conduct searches in exigent circumstances, such as to protect human life and safety against hazardous materials, and the need for physical searches specifically authorized by law for foreign intelligence collection."
SHUDDER!!
12:55 HELLO? America has decided that Bu$h IS the "bogeyman" and WE do not trust him because he abuses his powers.
You are in the minority.
txsharon = I have been fed up with Bush for a long time over his betrayal of us over the illegal alien invasion of our coun try. But I can't go go along with the liberal propaganda that our civil rights have been compromised over the 9/11 crisis. That is BS and you know it!!
Bush said he will 'construe' an exception, 'which provides for opening of an item of a class of mail otherwise sealed against inspection in a manner consistent ... with the need to conduct searches in exigent circumstances.'"
To read your first-class mail, all W needs to do is "construe" you. No judges, no criminal courts, no FISA warrants, no due process, nada.
Ahem...
Has the long arm of Wise County law ENFORCEMENT yet to apprehended Mr. Limon? IF not, does anyone KNOW what is being done to apprehend Mr. Limon and the perpetrator of the murder of Ms. Limon?
12:13 What a brilliant mind you have! No one can say that your one fry short of a happy meal.;)
Trust me honey, I am not reading your political garbage. I'm just tired of scrolling down to get to the good stuff.
He is still a fugitive and state and local authorities have widened the perimeter, still searching for him. He may have gotten some form of transportation out of the area. The last murderer from Wise County a year ago is still at large.
Poor Greta...wants Barry to monitor our posts so that she doesn't have to scroll. Wow!
You can't read very well can you? Where did I say "Barry you need to monitor political posts?"
Yahoooooo!! 49 comments on some murder suspect. The murder I reported on in our town didn't get a single comment. You got some good winners reading your bloggie thing Barry.
I was just wonderin of anyone has seen my wallet with the $400.00 I was going to give to Benny Hinn?
hey txsharon,
i dont think Bush or anyone else wants to see you naked, so your mail should be safe
Hey Sheehan, If Chuckey Schumer or the ACLU is against Bush opening your mail, I am all for it. Emphasis on exigent circumstances.
6:05 et al Obviously you haven't read about this report
