I'm a Republican, and I'm disgusted with this attempt at "piling on excuses"--if you "run enough of them up the flag pole, maybe someone will salute". In fact, these excuses are getting trite (i.e., boringly expected). Like I've said often before, there ought to be term limits to ALL offices at the national level--otherwise, our "representatives" lose all touch with reality in their D.C. ivory towers. How can they "represent" us when those "career" Senators haven't bought groceries at a grocery store in one or two decades? They don't have a clue about day-to-day living. Give me "Mr. Smith(s) in Washington" everyday--amateurs (which are defined as someone who does something for the love of it).
Common spin trick is to "deny" something more serious than what you've done...even if what you're denying is not what you're being charged with. "Hey, I never touched him". Well, maybe not. But that's not what you're up against, dummy.
Yes and the clergyman was actually a priest and his real father who, after hearing his mother's confession, impregnated her and later became the Cardinal of Boston.
This is a scandal in Congress that was covered up by several Republicans. It is a scandal of the Congressional leadership in the Republican party. It has nothing to do with church or alcohol.

Clergymen do not molest children.

Hear, hear.
10:08 - what planet do you come from?
The news has been full of priests that molest children.
Anyone who leads an innocent child astray is horrific, ESPECIALLY a person of the cloth.
Pedophiles get into all kinds of professions to have access to children.
7:26AM, but all the Christians tell me that their kind do not do such a thing.
7:37 - then it becomes your job to check them out and see for yourself.

Yeah, that's the ticket.
