Laura Miller Calling It Quits, Part 2

This is a fairly interesting description of how the Dallas Morning News learned of the mayor's decision not to seek re-election. She kinda sounds like a queen bee.

and how does a person feel when they're not being cynical by making deep down assumptions a person would only leave office due to some sort of trouble? Guilty, after reading that story.

Me thinks me senses a little tad of jealousy, huh anon 4:32? The lady is tough and managed against all odds to err on the side of success. More power to her when enough is enough!

Go Laura..........

Is she a success? I think I would ask the citizens of Dallas before make such a statement. She is a woman who wants to have control and she could not control Dallas. She wanted to have a strong mayor system and she found the citizens of Dallas had had all of her they wanted.

I used to like her but read an article about her that was supposed to be flattering and found she really turned me off. Just didn't seem like a very pleasant person

Isn't there a big problem with the increasing crime rate? Didn't she turn down free help from the Guardian Angels or some name similar. Aren't the Dallas Cowboys moving to Arlington? I don't live in Dallas but it doesn't sound like she could have been very good.
