Why does all that stuff exist? Why did God make stars, galaxies, so far away that they can not be seen? Why is there so much universe? Seems a big waste of space unless....
Incredible that so many would argue that all stars and galaxies were formed just a few thousand years ago, according to the Bible. Yet so much of what we see in the night sky had to exist millions and billions of years ago in order for the light from those objects to reach our eyes today.
While we are well aware that there are billions of galaxies in the universe, did you know that all those stars you see in the night sky are only in our own Milky Way galaxy? (If you know where to look, you just might be able to see one other galaxy - Andromeda - but that's all you can see with the naked eye). We're a pretty insignificant part of this amazing universe!
Only four galaxies can be meaningfully observed with the naked eye from earth. Two of those, it is debated, are more along the lines of gigantic star clusters but in some technical circles qualify as galaxies. Those are the large and small Magellanic Clouds, viewable only from the southern hemisphere. Another is M31 or Andromeda, a fuzzy patch seen from the northern hemisphere. Probably a few of the points in the night sky that we observe as stars are actually galaxies, but clearly would not appear so. Too faint, too far.
Hey 5:12, 4:58 is OBVIOUSLY not blogging to your intellectual capacity. Shame on you, 4:58, for not specifically informing our valedictorian that the 4th galaxy is the one he's in.
Well, it appears that 3:32 was on target in the first place. If you live in Wise Co., you can only see stars in the Milky Way (and possibly Andromeda). That was the original point - there are billions and billions of stars out there you can't see with the naked eye. Why did God make us so small?

Has anybody ever noticed Captain Kirk can get a piece anywhere in the universe?
That's pretty significant isn't it?.

Hey 4:58. You thinking your so smart for you're own good. Its not 4 galaxy, according to you, but only 3 you said. So whats the 4th one, dumbass?
