After driving by Taco Bell and seeing ten (count 'em, ten!) cars in a drive through line, I came across a fender bender in front of Dairy Queen (which had the odd dynamic of having an elderly lady standing in the back of a pick-up until the police arrived.)
It was chaos.
Not really, but it livened up my drive around Decatur.

Those elderly people are crazy... First it was the Electric Cowboy, now they're riding in the back of pick-up trucks!
What are you doing at Taco Bell anyway??? Those Fat Free Egg Rolls making you crave some Taco Bell?
Common to see a bunch of people in drive thru even when only one or two people are inside. Happens at McDonald's all the time. Trust me, you can do research over time and the stat will be that 75 to 80% of people in drive thru at McDonald's, and at times when there clearly one or two customers inside, are fat tubs. Even happens at Starbucks. And worse, I've seen eight or ten deep in drive thru at SONIC, which is freakin unbelievable. I mean, if you go to Sonic, what is the difference between pulling in and driving thru? What a sad, sad society we are.
There's a drive-thru at Sonic? I thought they only had drive-in spots???
Weird, huh? Nearest one I can think of is in north Fort Worth, at Basswood near the new Home Depot just past where 287 and I-35 merge. It just seems so dumb to have a drive thru at a Sonic.
Drive thru's are convenient if you are hitched to a trailer, hauling a load of cows to market. Think about it. Pretty good idea if you ask me. I saw that happen just a few days ago at a Sonic on Hwy 82 in Cooke County.
The wrecks will only get worse.
just think with all the money Rick perry wants the state i.e. you and me on the Trans Texas Corridor we could make the roads that exist a little safer
