Players on the Southlake Carroll football team can purchase their helmet at the end of the season for $120 a piece. (DMN p. 11C).

I don't remember what the price was separately, but the Decatur guys could buy both of their jerseys and their helmet for $250.
WOW!

Yeah but $120 isn't bad for a helmet anyway.

It's High School Football!!! What is wrong with these people. I could see if it was the helmet of the 3-time, back 2 back and defending Superbowl Champion Tom Brady, but a high school helmet? You people are special down here in South America!!!

Wow you must be really cheap-oh and by the way we don't live in South America. But anyways. Visit any sporting goods store, you will NOT find a regular football helmet that costs under $120. If you do, it is entirely cheap. Besides a Super Bowl helmet, if you could find one would be worth thousands and thousands-maybe $25,000 or more.

When I was a kid, I was told to compare apples to apples. Looks like everyone is trying to compare the cost of a used helment to new one and even got off track to the value of a collectable. Who knows someday, a SLC helment may be a collectable. Don't know.. just my thoughts from up here in "South America."
