At UNT in Denton, we are already getting a heavy downpour of sleet. If it does this the rest of the day we might have 1-3 inches of sleet on the ground. If you travel on I-35, you might want to take another route as well. As always, there are idiots that freak out or are just stupid-and drive 90 mph on the icy wet highways; which caused a 5 car pileup this morning on the Lake Lewisville bridge. Stay safe, and watch for morons.
Wasn't even really moving on a neighborhood side-street and the traction control took over...yeesh. Kind of odd to watch the car digital temp gauge falling as I watch it....29...28...27...26...25. COLD! Teachers @ the school were panicking over how'd THEY'D get home after the last child was finally picked up.
Ok great, here comes the snow. We had sleet for the last 3 or 4 hours here in Denton, now it is snowing really bad. Like another anon said, watch out for morons!
Jeers to the new Yesterday's in Bridgeport, knowing that 99% of it's staff is teenagers and requiring them to come to work when Schools,Companies are closing and making them or there parents risk property damage or worse to get them to and from work today..Hope that extra dollar is worth someones car damage or worse their life! Like you are going to be busy tonight!
I just don't get it! Do you native Texans always panic when a few flakes fall or a little ice appears on roads? If most of the rest of the country acted this way - they'd be closed for 4 months of the year. Come on - grow up - and learn to deal with a little weather. Geeeeze - what weather wimps ya'll are!

Just arrived at Richland Hills area and there are already some small areas of ice patches. Travel with caution!
Indications are Denton Co. South, Southeast, and East will see accumulations this morning, Wise Co. Northa nd West wil be much later if at all.
I'll jinx us all and predict we'll be dry as a bone!
