That Analysis Will Surely Cause The Judge To Dismiss It

The following is from Tom Delay's web site as he defends himself against conspiracy charges: "A Legal Analysis of Earle's Case in a Nutshell" "Ronnie Earle argues that Tom DeLay conspired to make a contribution to a political party in violation of the Texas Election Code. There was no contribution to a political party in violation of the Texas Election Code. There was no conspiracy. Ronnie Earle is wrong on the facts. Ronnie Earle is wrong on the law."

Well so far this type of defense has worked for him. Next he'll say he a God fearing man and against abortion and the blind masses of Texas will re-elect him regardless of his voting record or his crimes. Someday we have got to wake up and actually start looking at the bills they sponsor and how they vote.

Want to know DeLays priorities in a nutshell? He refuses to let a bill that would allow people who pay into state held retirement systems (ie, Texas teachers)and have paid Soc.Sec. while working a second job (they must pay and meet the same qualifications as the general population) to receive the same SS benefits upon reaching the established retirement age. Currently, they are penalized, called an offset, because they do not retire under a private retirement plan (401K), and because they do not pay SS on their primary employemnt. Otherwise, they pay like everyone else on the second job.

Ronnie Earle is not a nut. He is a good prosecutor. This is not a witch hunt by a Democratic prosecutor out to get the Republicans. He has prosecuted far more Dems than Republicans. This is about misuse of power by Delay. He is a crook. I hope he goes down.
